Module Indicative Content
To introduce and equip students with an initial range of skills required for the production of successful, smaller scale metal artefacts

Contents will include:
Introduction to working with flat and linear ferrous and non ferrous metal, construction methods, surface detail and chemical processes
Safe workshop practice
Presentations and demonstrations by practitioners
Investigation of historical and contemporary aspects of production
Module Learning Strategies
Workshop modulettes.
Technical instruction, demonstrations and workshop practice supervised and delivered by academic and technical staff
Group Critiques, where you will engage with peers to receive and provide constructive criticism
Research into historical, contemporary and professional issues
The design and execution of personal project briefs
