Module Indicative Content
This module gives the student the opportunity and experience of working on an external project, which may be in the form of a competition or a live brief with industry. The way in which a creative idea is influenced by the external partners' requirements will be considered, as will industrial and/or user constraints together with the meeting of deadlines.Students are expected to respond in a professional manner to an outside brief, this will prepare them for the possibility of future commissioned work and the entering of design competitions. Supported by market and visual research, the student will be required to generate a range of ideas and use creative design methods developed over the previous levels of the course. A final presentation will demonstrate an understanding of the research and development undertaken. and the levels of accomplishment demanded by the contemporary applied arts and design arena .
