Module Indicative Content
Design audit is one of the core activites within design management and is a key tool in measuring design effectiveness. The emphasis of this module is to introduce you to the design audit process by way of case studies which will be presented to the peer group and seminar workshops. You will study the criteria and develop specific criteria relevant to your chosen case study with which to carry your own design audit of an external organisation, the choice of which will be negotiated with your tutor. The module will be project led by way of seminars, tutorials. This module aims to develop your analytical and research skills and to enable you to evaluate effectively the design of the design process by effectively selecting appropriate method
Module Learning Strategies
A series of introduction lectures to the key elements of audit followed by individual and group project progression tutorials throughout the module.
You will undertake primary research within an external organization with design management theory in order to propose recommendations
Analyse and present case studies and a proposal of your report to the group.
