Module Indicative Content
An introduction to the Financial Services sector and the roles the sector plays.
Reference will be made to the need for the sector to maintain accountability for its own actions and the actions of its clients.
Merchant banks, Clearing banks, the Stock Exchange, pension funds and equity providers are amongst the organisations that will be studied: reference will be made to moral and legal obligations, accounting standards, illustrated by allegations of 'miss selling' on fraud, both real and apparent

Module Additional Assessment Details
An Assignment of not more than 2,000 words - 100% testing all learning outcomes.
Each student to provide the case of their case study. The Module Tutor will provide guidance.
Module Learning Strategies
The learning strategy for the module requires students to commit 150 learning hours (including assessment). There will be 36 hours of class support and 114 hours of independent and self directed study.

Learning support material will be provided for the module. Students will be encourage to provide (contemporary) press cuttings.
