Module Indicative Content
An introduction to management information systems and the provision of accounting information for internal and external purposes.
This module provides an overview of the three integrated systems: nominal, sales and purchase ledger.
You will learn how to create customers and supplier records and to record and produce invoices. The operation of the fixed asset register, bank reconciliation, credit control and the production of management reports.
Module Learning Strategies
The learning strategy for the module requires students to commit 150 learning hours (including assessment) of this there will be 30 hours of class support and 120 hours of independent and self directed study.

120 hours of student centred activities involving reading, self assessed exercises, computer assisted work and revision.

24 hours of formal lectures/large group activity
