LEARNING STRATEGIES
TB1 will consist of 36 hours of lectures and group sessions. Your supervisor will be provided with formative feedback during group sessions. Your Supervisor will be assigned to you during the second half of TB1. Your supervisor will provide feedback on your individual project proposal. In Week 1 of TB2, you are required to attend a compulsory 2-hour group workshop for generic feedback on the project proposals, guidance on the second assignment and discussions on the final assignment. There will also be a compulsory session in Week 5 of TB2 for further support. Please note the timings may be subject to change.

During TB2 you are required to work independently on the production of your assignment with guidance from your supervisor via individual meetings at predetermined dates/times. You are required to book appointments with your Supervisor using the schedule of available appointments provided to you by your Supervisor. You must bring to each meeting, a prepared list of questions. The Supervisor is there to provide guidance, whilst the project remains your own work and therefore it is your responsibility to manage your study objectives and study time so that a submission is made of an acceptable piece of work by the stated deadline.
There is an additional assessment point i.e. three assessment points as opposed to two assessment points for a 30 credit module. The additional assessment is scheduled to take place in Week 6 of TB1 and aims to provide an opportunity for students to focus their attention on the research tasks ahead, to assess their progress to date and to work effectively towards achieving a high overall module grade
