Students will determine their own reading list appropriate to their personal proposal of work with the guidance of staff. Students are expected to take advantage of the extensive library facilities available within the University.

A COURSEWORK - ART & DESIGN weighted at 100%.

100% coursework consisting of the following elements:
1. Supporting material demonstrating an intensive investigation related to the body of work submitted
2. A substantial body of work to include:
-Proposal and rationale [Learning Outcomes 1, 3]
-Support materials such as research notebooks and a journal or sketchbook [Learning Outcome 3]
-Portfolio of work [Learning Outcomes 1, 2]

This module will enable you to apply and consolidate the knowledge, skills and experience you have gained during the previous teaching block, in the production of a significant body of work. You will be encouraged to research and generate your ideas and ways of working independently by negotiation. You will receive both group and individual tutorials to provide you with adequate feedback. This mode of study will result in the production of a substantial body of work in the area of your choice (art or design, reflecting the specialist award to which you intend to progress).
