Module Details
Module Indicative Content
This module continues throughout semester 1 and introduces a wide range of approaches to drawing including analytical, expressive and observational drawing, mark-making, perspective, scale, composition, design and ideas development, and drawing for animation and film. You will also keep a notebook in which you will research and practise drawing of personal interest to you with relevance to your declared or intended pathway in art or design.
Module Additional Assessment Details
1. A portfolio of drawings produced over the module (A, B)
2. A notebook which contains both primary and secondary research into drawing (B)

To achieve a pass you will have a greater awareness of the language of drawing and developed your abilities to analyse its content and function (Visual Analysis). You will have participated in taught sessions and workshops sufficiently to broaden your skills and increase your production (Production). You will have undertaken research into drawing and have recorded it in notebook (Research, Learning).

To achieve the highest grade your participation and commitment will be exceptional. You will have demonstrated excellent abilities in a wide range of drawing (Production, Visual Analysis), understand how to analyse drawings and have researched in depth with personal relevance to you (Research, Learning).
