MODULE INDICATIVE CONTENT
Experimental module exploring materials, processes and ideas generation. The emphasis will be on providing multiple possibilities for each project brief, rather than focusing on a final outcome. Students will be encouraged to analyse the work they have produced and reflect on their successes.

Students will explore the production of multiples, working in series and will develop strategies to avoid creative blocks.

On the Design Pathway, this module will focus on the practical, functional and aesthetic qualities of processes and materials.
WEB DESCRIPTOR
Learn ways to banish that creative block!
During this module you will be introduced to the wonderful world of the Design Pathway. You will have a series of Technical Instruction workshops, led by our specialist technicians, in areas such as wood, metal, photography, textiles and ceramics, as well as digital processes. You will be working in a continuously experimental way, exploring the variety that exists within the design pathway, as well as the potential for generating multiple ideas and possibilities. The focus for this module will be on material exploration, developing design skills and creative risk-taking.
MODULE LEARNING STRATEGIES
Students will be introduced to a range of technical processes through a wide range of multi-media modulettes; where they will have instruction from specialist technicians and then be allowed to experiment and develop the techniques they have learnt.

Students will be based in the Art Foundation studio and will be able to develop their ideas further in this loction. Students will develop the ability to reflect on their work, through the introduction of visual analysis techniques.
