Module Details
Indicative Content
You will have the opportunity to use a variety of animation equipment and techniques to push the boundaries and concepts of traditional animation. The focus of the piece will be a non-linear animated sequence which attempts to redefine narrative and script concepts of believability, time and movement. The sequence will have a dialogue or soundtrack accompaniment.

This module is designed to enable you to embark on further study of the art form of animation and to explore the process and production methods available. You will sample a range of non-mainstream animations and their place within a commercial context.

Regular ‘milestone’ formative assessments will give you actionable feedback towards improved outcomes for final submission assessment -

You will be encouraged to communicate clearly and to foster a mutually supportive environment towards the generation of effective outcomes.

Opportunities for peer feedback will enhance your learning experience and provide you with useful critique to help your development.

You will be assigned short and manageable tasks regularly to build knowledge and skills within several animation contexts.

You will undertake guided collaborative study – applying individual knowledge and skills learned in sessions to pair, small group, or team-based projects.
