Module Details
Indicative Content
Regular practical sessions ranging from 1-3 hours depending on theme and focus – covering 2D, 3D and Stop Motion pathways specialisms – teaching students through demonstration and reference materials, to appreciate the utility and necessity of applied animation principles.

Tuition and guidance in the learning and application of animation principles using a variety of traditional and digital tools including industry relevant software and apparatus.

Opportunities for iteration will be encouraged through peer critique and formative academic feedback though class discussion and journal comments.

You will maintain learning journal to capture the development of your knowledge and skills and to reflect on your animation principles application tests.

You will; be encouraged to engage with and contribute to peer feedback sessions and opportunities

You will curate a montage of the most effective animation explorations you have generated for the module demonstrating your developing knowledge and competencies applying principles of animation in several different techniques
Learning Strategies
A regular pattern of practical workshop sessions underpinned by theory - 1-3 hours each (dependent on pathway) e.g., Weekly, or several times a week.

Demonstration of techniques followed by guided practice with opportunities for individual, pair and teamwork.

Substantial time allotted to self –managed time encouraging independent study

Encouraging regular posting on learning journals and opportunities for feedback 1-2-1 and group based.
