Students will determine their own reading list appropriate to their personal proposal of work, with staff guidance. Students are expected to take advantage of the extensive library facilities available within the University, keeping abreast of current developments through appropriate periodicals and being aware of the work of major practitioners in their subject.

This module requires you to accept significant responsibility for identifying individual professional goals within the subject of comic, cartoon or illustration. To demonstrate the ability to manage a sustained programme of design development, critical and analytical enquiry related to your individual project proposals.
The focus of this module is on the resolution, implementation and production of at least four projects conceived in Self Negotiated Programme of Study Part One.

At the end of this module you will submit a body of work as outlined in the module handbook.
This will include a substantial body of conclusive design/illustration work as detailed in your project proposals including, design development [Learning Outcomes 1,2,3,4].
The professional production of a minimum of four finished cartoon, comic/illustration projects displayed. [Learning Outcomes 2,5].
Portfolio presentation and display appropriate for a professional exhibition [Learning Outcome 2].
