The main emphasis of this project is your direction and collaboration with others on a substantial Animation Project to the highest of professional standards. As such it is expected that you will have visited conferences studios and festivals to measure the quality of animation content against your own performance This module is part of the culmination of your award and thus should demonstrate professional practice as a lead animator.
It is essential you take executive decisions where appropriate to ensure that the project is achieved by the conclusion of the semester. Production tasks will be shared to ensure that each member of the team is designated a role supporting their strengths. Where appropriate liaison with others scriptwriters, sound production artists and voice talent maybe outsourced to enhance the professional standard. The finished work should be of a standard to be screened at international events allowing exposure to the wider animation community and potential employers. You should therefore be fully conversant with copyright law and licensing of software and sound resources so that your production meets the requirements for public screening and self promotion.
This 8 credit module provides the scope to negotiate a project which will form the signature project and major part of your final major project work including a signature project.
