Module Indicative Content
This module examines the principal environmental pollutants, their sources and effects. Pollutants are classified as atmospheric, terrestrial and aquatic. Practical monitoring and recording techniques e.g. biological indicators are developed. Simple pollutant relationships and interactions are covered. Issues relating to energy production and the polluting effects are discussed. The use of environmental impact assessment in the context of pollution is developed.
