Module Indicative Content
This module develops a range of practical skills required for the management of the environment. It covers the skills of hedge laying, dry stonewalling, fencing, estate carpentry and the safe use and application of pesticides. During the module it is the basic principles, which are developed allowing candidates to apply their skills and competence. Opportunities will be provided for students to take their National Proficiency Test Council Certificate of Competence in Safe Use and Handling of Pesticides (PA1).

Practical assessment 100% (LOs 1-5)

Formative assessment:
Formative feedback will take place in tutorials and by review of assignment plans prior to submission.
