Module Learning Strategies
Lectures supported by tutorials and a field trip 43hrs. Assignments to develop self-learning skills 107hrs, assignments take the form of a brief, broken down into tasks. These tasks are researched and the information presented in the form of a report. There will also be role-play.
Module Indicative Content
This module covers leadership and instructional skills. It is orientated towards people who may have to lead teams of workers or may have to instruct people in practical skills. Interpersonal skills and leadership strategies will be developed. The responsibility of a leader in terms of Health and Safety and Risk Assessment are covered. Skills required to recruit staff and appraise them are also taught.
