Module Indicative Content
This module provides a grounding in the fundamental principles of ecology, ecosystems and environmental science. It examines both earth science and the living world and their interactions. It develops ecological surveying, monitoring techniques and data collections skills. Plant form and function is covered demonstrating their key role and introduction to the taxonomic system is given.
Module Learning Strategies
Lectures supported by tutorials 86hrs. Assignments to develop self-learning skills 214hrs. Assignments take the form of a brief, broken down into tasks. These tasks are researched and the information presented in the form of a portfolio.
