Formative feedback will take place in tutorials and by review of assignment plans prior to submission.
Module Indicative Content
A range of semi natural habitats are studied in terms of their character and management. Issues around habitat management and creation are reviewed. A range of natural species are studied and how they fit into the mosaic of habitats discussed. The implications of the introduction of alien species into habitats are examined.
Module Learning Strategies
Lectures supported by tutorials and field trips 43hrs. Assignments to develop self-learning skills 107hrs. Assignments take the form of a brief, broken down into tasks. These tasks are researched and the information presented in the form of a report.
