Module Indicative Content
The module will examine issues around management of wild species in the U.K. The implications of legal designations on management will be explored. Management techniques will be studied and their effectiveness evaluated. Case studies will be used as a vehicle for examining issues relating to wildlife management including the ethical aspects involved.
Module Learning Strategies
Lectures supported by tutorials and field trips 20hrs. Assignment to develop self-learning skills 130hrs. Assignments take the form of a brief, broken down into tasks. These tasks are researched and the information presented in the form of a report.
