Lectures supported by tutorials and field trips 40hrs. Assignment to develop self-learning skills 260 hrs. Assignments take the form of a brief, broken down into tasks. These tasks are researched and the information presented in the form of a report.

Module Indicative Content
The module examines issues around the management of wildlife species and their habitats in the UK. The implications of legislation on management will be explored management techniques will be studied and their effectiveness evaluated. Case studies will be used as a vehicle examining issues and specific practices such as habitat creation and translocation will be investigated alongside the ethical issues.
