Project funding application weighted at 50% (LO 5-8). The application form used will be a real one and will vary from year to year to reflect current funding bids, hence the word count will vary.

Formative assessment:
Formative feedback will take place in tutorials and by review of assignment plans prior to submission.
Module Indicative Content
The principles and practices of project management will be studied in the context of wildlife and countryside management. The acquisition and efficient use of physical, human and financial resources including sourcing grant funding will be examined. The techniques of public and organisational consultation will be reviewed.
These principles will then be applied in a practical manner through the development and production of a project funding application.
Module Learning Strategies
Lectures supported by tutorials 40hrs. Assignment to develop self-learning skills 260hrs. Assignments take the form of a brief, broken down into tasks. These tasks are researched and the information presented in the form of a report and a funding application.
