Students will produce a review article on a chosen current issue (Award/Pathway specific) with a particular focus on the bioethics of the chosen topic.

Having now developed a clearer identity of the type of biologists they wish to become and of the current advances that are most important to them, students will be host a cross-level short seminar on their own chosen topic
Indicative Content
This module builds on, and develops, the themes and learning previously gained at levels 4 and 5. Students at this level will feel confident about their comprehension of the wide ranging roles of biologists and the importance of their work across the globe and across diverse fields. Students at this level will have developed a clearer identity of the type of biologist they are and of the issues that are most important to them. This module will nurture that identity, allowing the student to tailor both assessments to topics that are pertinent to them. This module is designed to hone the skills and qualities that will enhance your prospects, horizons and personal success, leaving you prepared for the expectations of a life science graduate in the world of work.
Students will have the opportunity to attend the cross-level lecture series and will work to identify a topic that is most important to them. Students, will plan, prepare, and deliver a short seminar at the end of the year on their chosen topics and will produce a review article on the same topic. There will be a particular focus on bioethics and this will be evident in both assessment components.

The module will comprise of cross-level and single level seminars, guest lectures, small group tasks, independent tasks, interactive workshops and tutorials.
