Change is inevitable if an organisation is to maintain competitiveness and currency of practice. This module has been designed to enable the learner to evaluate types and reasons for change within organisations and be able to select and apply theoretical models for its management. The purpose is not only to enable learners to develop the skills to manage change and achieve set objectives, but to do so in a professional manner with open and honest communication throughout the entire process.
Assessment Details
Assessment consists of a contemporary case study where students have to answer long questions on it.
Learning Strategies
This module will use a mix of techniques and interactive tasks to explore the module content. Introducing key concepts through a variety of methods challenging you to explore different approaches to Innovative Change Management. Contact sessions will introduce core issues and techniques, and individual collaborative tasks will explore their application.
The tutor led and peer-to-peer learning sessions will tend to follow a general pattern of introduction of a topic and provision of frameworks and models for student learning, followed by application by students to appropriate data or case study materials. Students will be expected to perform set exercises, these will include the analysis, discussion and presentation of case- based work both individually and as part of a learning group and will receive formative feedback.
