Module Details
INDICATIVE CONTENT
Schedule teaching and learning activities include contact time with tutor to receive guidance on the written reflection.

The placement should support with the following:
- Provide practical experience of working within and for an organisation
- Experience first-hand the practical application of the theories and concepts learnt during the course
- Develop appropriate behavioural attitudes within the working environment
- Develop communication and decision-making skills
ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT DETAILS
The written reflection (LO1 – LO3) should directly link to the MBA competencies, with reference to experiences gained during the work-based placement.
These competencies are defined as:

1. Strategic Agility
The ability to perceive and implement direction at a strategic level; to evaluate the implications of setting direction and implementation

2. Organisational Agility
The ability to navigate effectively within an organisation; to understand not just wiring diagrams & structures but informal networks and organisational culture

3. Customer Focus
Understanding what a customer really wants, be it internal or external, and how managers should operate to secure repeat business

4. Drive for Results
Making sure managers can operate and deliver against key drivers of quality, cost & timescale - even when the pressure is on

5. Career Ambition
Students always take steps to know & understand their abilities & limitations plus critically assess what new skills & competencies they need to plan for & develop to ensure they secure that key next step on the career ladder

The student should submit this to the Placement coordinator of the department on completion of the industrial placement and before commencing on the final dissertation
