INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module will explore innovation and entrepreneurship processes and their importance at the firm and also extending to the economy level (e.g. job creation, or economic growth). Determining factors – both within firms and environmental – of both innovation and entrepreneurship activities will be explored in detail, as well as the extent to which those determining factors can be influenced by firms. Furthermore, the module will explore different policies implemented by governments to induce innovation and entrepreneurial activities.
WEB DESCRIPTOR
Entrepreneurship and innovation are activities of utmost importance for firms and economies. This module will explore the role of entrepreneurship and innovation and how they occur within firms and economies. Additionally, the module will critically and practically appraise the developments in entrepreneurship and innovation studies and explore entrepreneurship and innovation in practice.
LEARNING STRATEGIES
Students are expected to commit a total of 200 hours towards achieving the learning outcomes. Asynchronous material will be provided over 10 weeks with 13 x 1 hour drop-in sessions. Asynchronous material will include independent learning materials, case studies, videos and various activities.
