The company will confirm if the student has successfully completed the placement and met all company requirements (LOs 1 & 2)
INDICATIVE CONTENT
In this module, you will spend 1 year on a professional placement (worth 60 credits). You will have the chance to expand on the work you have done in previous modules and apply the learnings at the placement. You will experience how a professional environment operates and will have the opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge to the work-placement. You will keep a reflective logbook or journal to capture personal development during the placement.
While the students will need to secure their own placement, the university careers team will help and support the students during the process.
WEB DESCRIPTOR
This module offers students a unique opportunity to undertake a 1-year professional placement, applying their academic knowledge in a real-world setting. Students will document their experiences in a reflective logbook, fostering personal and professional growth. Support is available from the university careers team to help students secure placements and prepare for this transformative learning experience.
LEARNING STRATEGIES
The nature of this module is that the experiential and simulated learning that has been the format of the previous modules will be applied through the professional placement. Formalised support of 10 hours over the work placement will be provided by the module tutor.
