INDICATIVE CONTENT
The research development stage is focused on producing a research proposal that will include a systematic review of literature linked to practice and supported by relevant methodologies. This will include but not limited to;

ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT DETAILS
The final assessment will consist of a submitted research proposal and an oral examination by a panel consisting of two reviewers approved by the Graduate School Committee. The review panel will determine if the candidate should proceed to the DBA Thesis stage or be awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Practice Based Research.
LEARNING STRATEGIES
The candidates are expected to engage in independent study. This will take the form of undertaking follow-up tasks, reflecting on own practice, reading relevant literature, and engaging with online materials through the universities virtual learning environment (VLE), Blackboard. Students will be expected to keep up to date with current business and management practices through various websites and academic journals.

This module offers the opportunity for students to undertake a purposeful, individual, in-depth study of a topic relevant to their topic in Business Management. It aims at developing skills of independent learning and critical thinking, while building knowledge of research techniques. The research proposal provides an early requirement to engage with literature and develop awareness of the research process, allowing constructive feedback on the literature that have been drawn from, the approach to research and awareness to the research process.
