Indicative Content
This module will introduce you to the recent and future challenges faced by organisations in a variety of sectors. These might be related to ensuring the workforce is diverse and inclusive, the skills required for the automation of some areas of work and improvements in technology, skills shortages brought about by changes to immigration policy, the changing nature of flexibility at work - where and when becoming less important, the impact of climate change and sustainability agendas on employment and finally, the quality of jobs including themes such as work-life balance, stress and having a meaningful voice at work.
Web Descriptor
Business and industry are ever-changing and staying ahead of the game is critical to success. In this module, you will explore the importance of innovation in addressing climate change and other societal challenges and how the rise of digital technologies will change the future of work practices and various business sectors.
Learning Strategies
The module will utilise a mixture of activities including lectures, group discussion and debate, web-based activities, case study analysis, relevant videos as well as guest lectures from industry. You will be involved in individual and group problem solving and some self-directed learning will be expected.

You will undertake ‘formative’ assessments during the module to help you monitor your learning and provide you and us with ongoing feedback on your progress, that helps you prepare for the summative assessment during or at the end of the module.
