Your proposal should be presented to a professional standard and in a format suitable for its intended audience. Typically 2000 words [LO’s 3, 4, 5]

Assessment 2
An online portfolio presenting the outcomes of your response to an identified industry relevant brief. Your final product(s) should be supported by evidence of time management, justification of choices, personal critical reflection and external feedback. [LOs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Formative assessment:
Group tutorials allowing brainstorming and problem-solving skills to be applied in the discussion of the challenges faced to complete identified project requirements.
Indicative Content
IIn this module you will be expected to identify opportunities to practice in a professional situation or a range of situations in order to apply the skills you have developed in music. You will consider the way the current industry operates, and the requirement to have an investigative and entrepreneurial attitude in order to be successful. Teamwork and shared responsibility will be an important aspect of the module, as you show your ability to plan and negotiate with different partners. You will also be expected to show independent working practices and self-discipline, in order to achieve planned goals.

This module may be interpreted in different ways and you will need to discuss your proposed project with your tutor(s) to ensure your work will meet the module requirements and fulfil the Learning Outcomes. Your work should include the application of your music skills through work based activities to explore and develop in your chosen area of the industry. Your work may be a group project or planned with an external partner or partners, and you will be expected to demonstrate your own contribution to the project.

You will be expected to share your ideas for your project, and evaluate its success, by presenting a comprehensive and detailed project proposal before you commence the work, and by presenting an evaluative report to your peers, with supporting documents, on completion of the project.
