Module Indicative Content
This module is designed to consolidate and draw on all previous learning experience for the award, and allow you to demonstrate your skills in the implementation of a Final Major Project (your FMP). You are expected to work independently and in negotiation with others to carry out an industry-based brief in your relevant specialist area of the fashion industry. You will need to discuss with your tutor and/or client(s) to ensure your plans meet the criteria for the module and show how you understand your own strengths and limitations for the goals you set in the project. The module complements other work in the course, particularly in the Planning and Promotion in Fashion module, where you undertake some of the development work required for your FMP. Your project will include the involvement in an event or activity that enhances and showcases the work you have carried out.

Professionally marketing your work and sharing your ideas through different media is a key skill in the fashion world. The use of visual communication as a tool will be intrinsic to this module, as you will plan how to use appropriate communication methods and platforms for specified audiences and purposes that are part of the brief.

As you work through the module you will keep a studio diary documenting your journey and thought processes through the research, design and production stages so that you can evaluate and reflect on your own personal professional fashion industry development. You will consider how you have achieved the ability to undertake this significant project, and the steps you have taken to progress your development needs. By evaluating your own ability you will be able to tailor your work and plan how to continue your professional development.
