Module Additional Assessment Details
A COURSEWORK weighted at 100%

Assessment takes the form of a mixture of formative and summative assessment. Formative assessment may typically include assignments, practical and written tests and examinations and is used as a progress check measured against defined performance standards. Failure in such formative tests would lead to review and remedial activity focused on enabling the student to 'make good' any deficiencies in their performance.

A pass mark of 60% is applied.

Summative assessment measures final 'output' attainment measured against the specified performance standards. They include written exams and practical demonstrations, and integrative larger scale consolidation practical exercise that brings together many of the aspects of knowledge and skills covered in the previous parts of the course.
