This module aims:
1. To illustrate the need for Open Systems Architecture, Operating Systems and Interconnection
2. To demonstrate the structure and functions of computer systems in terms of mutually interdependent hardware and software
3. To encourage an understanding of networked computer systems.

100% In course assessment comprising of:-
Class test (30%), 1 hour in length (Learning Outcomes 1, 2, 3 and 4).
Assignment (70%), 5000 words written proposal for computer network system (Learning outcomes 1 and 2).
