Module Indicative Content
This module aims:
1) To demonstrate the structure and functions of computer systems in terms of mutually interdependent hardware and software.
2) To illustrate the need for Open Systems Architecture, Operating Systems and Interconnection.
3) To encourage an understanding of networked computer systems.
Module Additional Assessment Details
Examination - 30% (Learning outcomes 1 to 4)
A theoretical class test of 1 hour

Coursework of 3,000 words - 70% (Learning outcomes 1 to 4)
Module Learning Strategies
The material will be presented weekly by delivery of an hour lecture followed by two hours extensive practical (1:25)2 (1:n)
