Module Indicative Content
Introduction to Network Security focuses on overall LAN security processes with particular emphasis on hands on skills in the following areas:
- Security policy design & management
- Security technologies, products & solutions
- Firewall and secure router design, installation, configuration, & maintenance
- AAA implementation using routers and firewalls
- VPN implementation using routers and firewalls
Module Additional Assessment Details
A written examination, length 2 hours weighted at 50% which will assess Learning outcomes 1 and 3
A practical examination not in examination conditions, length 1 hour weighted at 50% which will assess Learning outcomes 2 and 4
