Module Learning Strategies
Training courses will be provided by the student's employer. Students will be supported by an academic tutor in preparing a portfolio to satisfy the assessment requirements of the module.
Module Additional Assessment Details
100% reflective portfolio/report approx 3000 words (learning outcomes 1-4)
The reflective portfolio should provide details of:
Learning undertaken
An analysis of the new knowledge and skills gained
An assessment of the impact this may have on the organisation
An assessment of the impact on the working practice of the individual
Module Indicative Content
Students who are undertaking work based courses appropriate to their career development, or for development of specific technical skills can use this module to reflect on the impact of that training. Typically a training course or series of training courses will be used as the technical knowledge base for the module, but module activity covers:
- Reflecting on the learning undertaken
- Demonstrating how new knowledge and skills are used in the workplace
- Assessing the impact of applying that knowledge and those skills in a workplace and the impact on the individual's working practice.
