To have completed CE00126-1 (Introduction to Networking with LANs and WANs) and CE00881-2 (LAN Switching and WAn Networks), and/or study of modules containing CCNA content or equivalent or valid CCNA qualification.

Module Indicative Content
This module introduces students to commercial secure converged ccess solutions, WANconnection types abd Quality of Service issues. It covers:-
- Broadband Access Technologies: xDSL, Cable modems, DOCSIS
- Frame Relay and Queuing
- Access - Control: Security solutions, Understanding and configuring AAA
- Frame-mode MPLS implementation and MPLS VPNs
Workgroup discovery
Diagnosing and correcting campus TCP/IP and switching problems
Diagnosing and correcting frame relay and ISDN BRI problems
Module Additional Assessment Details
A practical exam, length 1 hour (not in examination conditions), weighted at 50% (Learning Outcomes 3 and 4).
A written examination, length 2 hours, weighted at 50% (Learning Outcomes 1 and 2).
