Module Indicative Content
This module explicitly focuses on significant elements required for the achievement of STAFFORDSHIRE GRADUATE ATTRIBUTES.

This module is intended to introduce the students to the skills which are needed within the Networking industry which are beyond just the technical aspects of networking. The student will gain an understanding of how different aspects of the network will communicate and operate as a whole. The context for this module will be to giving the students the skills to understand how to justify a network infrastructure and how to complete a deployment within a commercial organisation meeting the management, legal, human and financial needs.

Module Learning Strategies
48 hours of lectures on the various topics. The students will be encouraged though to use the independent study time to look beyond this information though and feed this back through the tutorial times. 24 hours of tutorials will be used to reinforce and allow discussion of the topics.
Module Additional Assessment Details
100% coursework which will cover all learning outcomes - this will be a group assessment with a written element of 5000 words and a presentation element involving the development of a detailed project plan for the implementation of a network within a commercial environment including presentation to outline (to the customer in a 15-20 minute presentation) the design choices made.
