Module Indicative Content
Optimising Converged Networks is the last of four modules leading to the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification. Optimising Converged Networks teaches students about the troubleshooting network problems in order to optimise network traffic patterns. The module focuses on the use of various QoS tools and techniques to optimise IIN, using data, voice and video.

Module Additional Assessment Details
A 50% coursework typically an online assessment or case study of approximately 1500 words (Learning Outcomes 2 and 3).
Practical Coursework 50% (Learning Outcomes 1 and 4).
Module Learning Strategies
The module is:
- Self-managed learning using on-line material
- The module will be delivered over 15 weeks, 2 x 3hr evenings, Each evening typically compromising one I hour lecture per session to supplement on-line material and 2hrs practical experimentation
- On-line multiple choice tests, relating to each of the modules
- 30 hours lectures and 60 hours labs / tutorial

Module Special Admissions Requirements
Only available for study as a part of the Network Optimisation award. It is recommended that the learner has CCNA or equivalent. Only available for study as a part-time evening module at full market cost.
