Module Indicative Content
This module explicitly focuses on significant elements required for the achievement of STAFFORDSHIRE GRADUATE ATTRIBUTES.

The Advanced Network Security module helps students to master the topics related to firewall technologies and Virtual Private Network (VPN) solutions. The module focuses on the application of security principles with regard the Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) device and its features, traffic filtering strategies, configuring advanced Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) features, deploying and managing VPN solutions.
Module Additional Assessment Details
A written examination, length 2 hours weighted at 40% includes Learning Outcome 1.

A phased assessment weighted at 60% consisting of:
- A practical test(1 hour) (weighted at 40%), Learning Outcomes 2, and 3
- A group presentation (15min and 10-15 slides) which evaluates one or more advanced computer security technologies.(weighted at 20%), Learning Outcomes 2, and 3. Final assessed component.
