Course work of length 4000 words weighted at 100%
Coursework assessing all learning Outcomes. Reflective report/portfolio that covers: Research into teaching and learning theories Development of teaching and learning activities Evaluation of the teaching/training carried out reflection on teaching and learning strategies employed Reflection on the delivery and outcomes of teaching/training.

MODULE INDICATIVE CONTENT
Design and evaluate training or teaching of staff within the organisation on a technical or management issue as appropriate to the specific award and organisation.
The student will analyse the teaching and learning requirements of their target students’ group and together with the teaching and learning theory researched, they will define learning outcomes and develop appropriate teaching and learning activities.
Additionally, the student will develop methods of feedback for both students and peers to enable evaluation of the teaching/training to be carried out. Self-evaluation will also be used in this process.
As part of the teaching/training evaluation, the student will reflect on the delivery, teaching and learning strategies used and the learning outcomes achieved.

This module will help teachers and instructors to design and evaluate the training or teaching of staff within the organisation on a technical or management issue as appropriate to the specific organisation.
MODULE LEARNING STRATEGIES
Students will use the VLE and will work through the module material provided on the VLE at a pace suggested within the module. The material will include activities and review questions that allow students to assimilate the concepts and skills required by the module.
Student journals will be available to discuss the learning directly with the tutor, the tutor will also provide a weekly opportunity to discuss the module and answer any questions. Students are encouraged to discuss relevant aspects within discussion forums that are part of the VLE. The forums will allow discussion with the student's peer group as well as the module tutor. This is a Distance Learning module only using the Blackboard VLE and the use of libraries and on-line research.
