An ASSIGNMENT weighted at 100%. (Learning Outcomes 1, 2, 3 and 4.).
This will be a portfolio consisting of a case study (50%) Learning outcomes 1, 2, and 4, which will look at a real world scenario and the application of practical skills to a more limited lab based scenario (50%) Learning outcomes 2 and 3.
Module Indicative Content
Network Security module explores, investigates and analyses the field of network security. The module looks at various types of security threats and foundation protection, routed and switched data and management plane security controls, Implementing and maintaining VPN technologies, cryptographic systems, AAA and implementing firewall and intrusion prevention technologies.
Commercial risks.
Social, legal and ethical issues relevant to the network security professional.
Module Special Admissions Requirements
Prior study of modules incorporating CCNA1-4 or equivalent or have passed the CCNA Qualification.
