The students will undertake individual self-directed research into the topics covered in the form of literature reviews and other research techniques accessing journals, papers etc from a variety of sources.
Module Indicative Content
This module aims to provide a coherent review of some of the state-of-the-art techniques which influences the future development of a wide range of applications in computer networking. The principles, capabilities, limitations and applications of various topics will be covered. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Security
- Wireless
- Storage Area
- Service Provider
Module Additional Assessment Details
1) Assignment contributing 50% of the overall module mark which will assess learning outcomes 1 and 2
2) Written case study contributing 50% o the overall module which will assess learning outcomes 3 and 4, word limit of 3000 words
