Module Learning Strategies
A variety of learning strategies will be employed, including lectures (1-n) 1.5, practical and tutorial sessions (1-20) 1.5.
Module Indicative Content
Analysing user requirements to produce a brief.
Initial design and documentation techniques and considerations to develop a small website.
Designing and optimising unique web images using a drawing or paint package.
Use of web authoring package or text editor to create a website.
Use of web standards to create websites e.g. XHTML, CSS.
Use of common web components such as tables, images, text etc.
Use of media including items such as video, sound, images, text.
Testing strategies.
Module Additional Assessment Details
A Portfolio consisting of:
A report of maximum 2000 words
Electronic version of developed web site
The Portfolio will cover 100% of the module's assessment and cover learning outcomes 1, 2, 3 and 4.
