Module Learning Strategies
The module will use a variety of learning strategies, including lectures, tutorials, workshops and practicals. It is suggested that the 4.5 hours taught each week should be divided into a 1.5 hour lecture, a 1.5 hour practical session devoted to one or more applications packages, and a 1.5 hour tutorial/surgery/workship. Independent learning time will be based around reading, typically course text books, magazines, web sites etc, assignment work in the labs and revision for examination.

Module Additional Assessment Details
An assignment (70%) consisting of four focused tasks assessing Learning Outcome 4.
An 2 hour examination (30%) assessing Learning Outcomes 1, 2 and 3.
