Assignment, which will assess Learning Outcomes 1 - 3 includes:
- An individual report of 1500 words
- A multimedia portfolio. The portfolio will include several practical elements that contribute to a small multimedia application.

Media Elements (Capture, Editing, Conversion and Compression)

Introduction to media creation and editing tools such as Flash, Premiere, Sound Booth, Photoshop, Director, Encore DVD.
Hardware for media capture and display such as Cameras, Camcorders, computers, mobile devices, games machines.
Combination of media elements to create multimedia.
HCI / Accessibility / Design for Multimedia.
Multimedia domains such as games, films, web, podcasts, TV and DVD
Testing and Evaluation
Module Learning Strategies
The lecture will support the one lab session of two hours each week. The lab sessions will support the underlying knowledge and skills required to complete the module, and will be facilitated with booklets, course texts, and the internet. Group discussions will also take place in these sessions. The lecture will some weeks take place in a lab with projector facilities so that the students can interactively engage with the practical content.
