The majority of the information to complete this module will be available via electronic distributed learning on the web. It will consist of information, guidelines, exercises and examples for you to work through. Tutorials will allow you to practice techniques learned, discuss problems and issues relating to the module content.

Module Learning Outcome
1. Produce your own personal 'plan of action' for improved time and money management
2. Use appropriate software packages to assist in the organization and management of your time and money
3. Demonstrate an understanding of project planning and be able to use appropriate software in the planning and control of projects
This module will also give you opportunity to demonstrate the following skills:
(a) Establish positive working relations within a group, showing sensitivity to the needs of others, negotiating roles and tasks and giving honest and constructive feedback
(b) Formulate a practical solution to the problem, making effective use of the time and resources available
(c) Information technology
(d) Identify his/her own strenghts and weaknesses
Module Indicative Content
This module will provide you with strategies to be able to manage your time, money and projects more successfully. It will give you the ability to use software and to be able to effectively organise yourselves for better productivity.

A GROUP PROJECT weighted at 40%.
A ASSIGNMENT weighted at 40%.
A CLASS-TEST length 1 HOUR(S) weighted at 20%.

Module Additional Assessment Details
1. In-class test (20%) (Learning outcome 1) assesses the students ability to use appropriate software.
2. Coursework will consist of 2 elements:
A report (40%) (Learning outcomes 1, 2 and d) which is the student's personal 'plan of action' for time
and money management.
A group assignment (40%) (Learning outcomes 3, a, b and c) which requires students to demonstrate
an understanding of project planning and control by undertaking a project during the semester.
