English language skills, e.g. Computing terms and specific meaning in computing such as memory, register, compiler, network, waterfall method etc.

Academic Skills e.g.
Studying, report writing, presentations, researching, plagiarism, referencing, interpreting data, individual and group work.

Personal Development e.g.
Time management, goal setting, self reflection

Research into a specific area of computing to further the knowledge in that area.
LEARNING STRATEGIES
This module includes some formal lectures (6 hours), but is predominantly activity based, with opportunity for individual skill development and support via small tutorials (18 hours) of no more than 20 students.
ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT DETAILS
100% assignment which is made up of:-

Portfolio of tutorial work 1,500 words (Learning Outcomes 1, 2, 3 and 4)
- Individual and group Coursework
- Group presentation

Formal individual report 1,000 words (Learning Outcomes 1, 3 and 4)
