Module Additional Assessment Details

A LOG-BOOK weighted at 40%. A PROJECT PROPOSAL DOCUMENT weighted at 50%. A PRESENTATION of the proposal weighted at 10%

Working with an assigned team (as a member of a team and also as project manager of your own team), you will propose, research and develop documentation for an artefact, negotiated around your specialist area of study. *A peer assessment of 10% of the overall marks is graded on the group participation within the module. This 10% is incorporated into the Project Proposal mark to give the 50% weighting.

The module will consist of:

- a log-book highlighting contextual research, including any user surveys and results. Details of experiments and investigations of key technological features. Annotations on contextual material and images (screen-grabs, etc.) depicting progression of your work and an assessment of your success in matching user and market requirements. Weighted at 40%. Learning outcome 1.

- a detailed Project Proposal Document of 1500 words outlying the proposed solution(s) that shows:

- you have understood the constraints and criteria of the project;

- you have integrated your research into the design process;

- you have found innovative and imaginative solutions to the brief;

- a good use of your own and your teams understanding and skill to define the final proposal *.

Weighted at 50% Learning outcome 2.

- a short individual report or presentation on your proposal, team work, development and outcomes, reflecting on strengths and or weaknesses in relation to the development of the project. Weighted at 10%. Learning outcome 3.
