Module Indicative Content
This module explicitly focuses on significant elements required for the achievement of the STAFFORDSHIRE GRADUATE ATTRIBUTES.

An example of topics which may be covered are as follows: business communication, negotiation, careers and c.v. production, Professional Bodies, ethics (including the impact of green computing on sustainability) and computing legislation, choosing an appropriate academic project, research techniques including library skills, hypothesis formation and statistical methods, software development and project management methods for computing projects, project scheduling, risk management and quality planning, report writing and presentation techniques.
Module Additional Assessment Details
A reflective portfolio of 1500 words - 25%. Learning outcome 1.
A project proposal of 4,000 words (including a presentation - 6 minutes) - 75% Learning outcomes 2 and 3 (final)
Module Learning Strategies
24 hours lectures and 48 hours tutorial/practical sessions over 12 weeks. Guest lectures will be incorporated.
