You will need access to these resources:

The VLE
A Workplace environment. A Work-Based Learning Agreement will be completed for this module to ensure that the student will have access to the required resources in the workplace.

Module Learning Strategies
The module content may be delivered primarily via on-line distance learning content and the application of that content to your workplace. There will be a short launch event (circa 2 hours) which may be attended virtually or in person.
On-line component
You will have access to the Blackboard VLE, where the formal learning content of the module will be found. In addition, you will use the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) to act as an organisational hub for your studies. You will also be encouraged to discuss relevant aspects within discussion forums that are part of the VLE. The forums will allow discussion with a student's peer group as well as the module tutor.
Work-based Component
You are encouraged to spend time seeking re-enforcement of academic learning through practical experience in the use of Windows server operating system in the work environment. This will include investigation of how aspects of the syllabus material apply to your own workplace. You will have access to a workplace based mentor and if enough of you are enrolled from a given location, study groups will be used to provide mutual support.

2 hours of Academic Tutor Contact time will be used for formative reviews. Where necessary, reviews may be conducted virtually using appropriate tools. There will be two formative reviews lasting 1 hour each. The remaining tutor contact time will be in support of distance learning activities.

• Item 2 Looking at data sharing protocols – features, stakeholders, rules, methodology for change
A comparison of 3 data sharing protocols (10% of total assignment)
Item 3 A group report (circa 2000 words) centred around a question posed. NOTE: The report will reference your reading and provide a reasoned argument to support your view. (20% of total assignment)
